Bunting Flag Nails | Pearl Rhinestones from BPS

I've had so many cool things sitting in my bookshelf for the last month, whispering "review me, Jessie, review me!" I stubbornly ignored them while I was furiously making Christmas tutorials, but now it's January and time to catch up! So today I'm showing you a design I did with some pearl rhinestones from Born Pretty Store.

First, a bit about the rhinestones. There are 360 in the container and each one has a diameter of 2.5mm. They're round/dome-shaped and there are 12 different colours in the box. They have quite a pearly-look to them (I'm sure that's a real word) and kind of make me think of Marie Antoinette! Hmph, now I wish I had done Marie Antoinette nails with these.

To apply them, I painted my nails then put a dab of clear polish on the area I wanted the rhinestone. I then applied the stone with a wax pencil, then sealed it in with another coat of clear. Sometimes I do yet another coat of clear - just do however many you think is necessary to hold the rhinestone on.

As for the design - I LOVE these bunting flags! Why have a never done this before? I want to do them over and over and over again! I will admit that that pinky ended up looking a bit weird - oops!

I managed to keep bumping my nails while painting on this design and had to re-do bits several times - don't you just hate that!? At least it ended up okay in the end. I used to do all my nails the same every time I painted them, but I'm quite enjoying the skittle look in nail art at the moment.

The polishes I used in this design are:
China Glaze - Lemon Fizz
China Glaze - Aquadelic
Jordana - White
Jordana - Black
Jordana Pop Art - Contemporary White
Jordana Pop Art - Black Mark
OPI - You don't know Jacques!
Revlon - Temptress
Revlon - Plum Baby

Here's a photo of the container with my hand next to it, so you can see the size.

Someone asked me recently if Born Pretty Store was "safe" to buy from - I just want to reassure anyone who wonders the same thing that it definitely is! I would never recommend a dodgy shop! I regularly order things from there and have never missed a package, been overcharged, or anything like that. You can pay with either Paypal or credit card, whatever you prefer - it's safe either way. The only bad thing is that it can take a while for your order to arrive - normally between 2-5 weeks, but that's pretty standard with online stores.

If you're interested in purchasing some of these rhinestones, you can buy them here for $3.99 US.
If you put in the discount code CEL91 at checkout you'll save 10% - and they also have free shipping (yay!).

Hope you like this little design!
