One year blogiversary giveaway and nail art competition!

Today marks one year since I made my first post on Nailed it NZ! It was just called "Nailed it" then, and I was just playing around with some pretty colours. Over the last year so many things have happened, to both me and my blog! 

Personally, I've graduated from university, made new friends, caught up with old ones, gone to hospital and had something that was causing me a lot of pain fixed, moved house and really just grown as a person.
In regards to my blog, my page views have gone from 0 to just about 150,000, I'm coming close to 600 GFC followers, my Facebook has a whopping 7000+ fans and my instagram, Tumblr and We Heart It are all coming up to the 2000 mark. And naturally, my nail art skill has improved significantly! Here's an example!

I've also recently signed a new advertising contract which I'm very happy with - see that little video to the right - that's it! I'm focusing on growing my YouTube, and have many wild, crazy dreams! My love of nail art has inspired me to do a nail technician course, which I plan to start next year. I'm so happy and excited about my future doing something that I love.

So this giveaway is to say THANK YOU! I'm so happy I found nail art and blogging, and I love all the wonderful comments and feedback I receive. I've gotten quite a few lovely emails lately, asking for advice, giving compliments, showing their recreations of my nail designs - I love it! Interaction with followers make the blogging experience so much better :).

Anyway, I'll move past the mushy stuff and on to the exciting bit!

I'm having both a giveaway and a nail art competition - so even if nail art isn't your thing you can still enter to win something!

THE GIVEAWAY

This for a nail art starter kit that I've put together from Born Pretty Store. It has just about everything you need to start making your own pretty designs! There are dotting tools, nail art brushes, rhinestones, studs and wax pencils to help maneuver those last two. You can click on the pictures to go see them at the store.

                        

THE NAIL ART COMPETITION

This is for any six of China Glaze's Sunsational collection - see the whole collection in the picture below, or you can see close-up swatches on The PolishAholic's blog here! These polishes are a gorgeous bunch of cremes and jellies - I want some myself! It's important to note that the nail competition has a theme - "Me, Myself and I" - see more in the rules section further down.

The Rules! Yep, the boring but oh-so-important part - so give them a read!

GIVEAWAY RULES

- This is an international giveaway! As long as Born Pretty Store can send to you, you can enter.

- I will be buying the prizes from there and getting them sent directly to you - New Zealand's postal regulations are very strict! Unfortunately this means I can't present them nicely - but I wish I could wrap them in pink and send the winners a nice card!

- No cheating! This means do not say you've done one of the options when you haven't. Eg, if you haven't liked me on Facebook, don't say you have - I'll be checking and double checking the winner's entries and if any are fake then their entries will be discarded and I'll pick a new winner.

- You only need to give me your name and email address to enter (through the Rafflecopter widget) - the rest of the options are just for extra entries. They're worth doing though, almost every giveaway winner I've had in the past has won through these extra entries! Each additional entry has a points value next to it, so you know how many extra entries you've earned.

NAIL ART COMPETITION RULES:

- The theme is "Me, Myself and I." Make sure your manicure tells me something about you - I'm interested! This could be as simple as "I like leopard print" or as complicated as some detailed Game of Thrones nails! Whatever you like - I like reading, so feel free to tell me a story about how your nails relate to you!

- You can enter up to three different designs.

- You can enter with old designs, but new designs are preferred!

- Nail art must have been done by you, on you. No fake nails! You can recreate someone elses design though, if you want. You can use anything you want (studs, rhinestones, stamping etc) but be sure to tell me how you created it when you enter.

- It's international! As long as Head2Toe can ship to you (I think they ship everywhere).

- My husband and I will be judging the entries - and just so you know, I love things that are original, well-done and hand-painted!

- Again - you can NOT use someone else's picture of nail art to enter! I'm sure none of you will do this, but I've heard of it happening in the past so I have to clarify. I know a lot of different nail artists and what their hands, designs and watermarks look like, so I can tell!

Enter the nail art competition by emailing me a clear picture of your "Me, Myself and I" nails (try take the photo in natural light, then maybe crop it using picasa). Send the email to naileditnztutorials@gmail.com. I'll reply to every design I get sent, so you'll know that I received it. If you have a blog entry about your design, feel free to include it in your email. I'll update this page with pictures of the entries on a weekly basis :).

Both the giveaway and nail art competition will run for five weeks, closing on the 21st June 2013. This gives me time to save up so I can afford to buy them, haha.
